You know that feeling when you meet someone and you just know you’re going to become good friends instantly? Ms E and I had that connection. Her sweet and sparkly personality just clicked with mine and within minutes we were easily gabbing like old friends.

She decided to do her session as a surprise for her 8th wedding anniversary and as a gift to herself. Both reasons I can totally stand behind.

E said one of the most profound statements I’ve heard in awhile as to why every woman should stop waiting to do a boudoir session.

She said to me, “I don’t know if I’m going to have a 10th anniversary. I hope I do, but you never know what could happen between now and then. Why wait? Now is just as special as two years from now. There is no reason why I should wait and every reason in the world why I should just do it now.”

It’s slightly morbid, I know, but in recent months I’ve been bombarded by news stories of terrible things happening out of the blue. And it reminds me so much of how important it is to create your memories now. Live your life now. Reach for your dreams now.

And stop putting it all off until tomorrow, next month, next year ….

Just do it. And enjoy every minute of it.
