What is a Boudoir Session?

Boudoir is not a completely defined concept. It is ever evolving and changing as we explore this updated area of photography. The general idea, however, is that Boudoir sessions are set to make you, the subject, look and feel your best. A way to document how sexy you really are, a way to see yourself in the era of high fashion and digital editing. We use everything from little black dresses to corsets and lingerie to a plain white sheet depending on the style and look you want your images to have.

What about the Couple and Black Dress sessions?

Besides the modern Boudoir sessions, Noire Belle also offers a few other sessions for special clients. Two of those are our Couples and Black Dress sessions. The Couples session is for the daring couple who want an opportunity to have some less than traditional portraits taken of them, without being obscene. Likewise, Black Dress sessions are tailored to the clients who might not feel comfortable being in lingerie only, but still want a fun, sexy sessions. These are great for our more seasoned clients or those who are under 21.

What type of albums do you offer?

Noire Belle Studio has many different types of photo products available for our clients. We feature some of the more popular choices online here : http://noirebellestudio.com/rates/ And also offer a full product listing upon request and with booking a session.

Please note that some Boutique products can take 4 – 6 weeks to be designed and printed by our vendors. It is highly encouraged for you to book your session 12+ weeks before your special date in order to ensure there is plenty of time for you to receive your order.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course! In fact, why not go in together on a session or, if you’re really daring, put together a Bachelorette or Pin-up Party. These types of parties are designed to give each girl their fifteen minutes of fame in front of the camera and a night full of laughter trying on lingerie and feather boas. Noire Belle offers special group rates for these sessions and special portrait collections available for purchase.

I don’t look like the women in your portfolio. Do you airbrush? Can you make me look skinnier?

No woman’s body is perfect. Every magazine cover you see or music video has hours and hours of makeup and digital editing behind it to make the stars look the way they do.  At Noire Belle we strive to work with each client to maximize their body type and minimize problem areas. We believe strongly in Boudoir being an experience about your natural beauty. We also offer basic retouching free of charge on all purchased prints. Advanced retouching and body shaping is available billed on an hourly basis. At the time of your ordering, we will discuss all retouching options available to you.

Do you ever do work with models?

Noire Belle is always open to working with models on updating their portfolios. If interested in a model session, please let us know what our discounted rate is. We love to try out new concepts and locations on our model clients.

What should I wear?

You should wear what is you. What you feel good in. What you like to wear. Wear something you know he likes to see you in. Bring as many outfits as you’d like and we will go through them together and select the best options. Don’t forget shoes and other accessories. Some fun earrings and a necklace can really make a photo pop.  Don’t forget to go a little crazy. Pull out some garters and a corset. Get some see-through lacey undies. Grab one of his ties or shirts. Make it personal for him. And don’t under estimate the appeal of a clean simple pair of boy shorts and a tank top.

Will you post my pictures online?

Not without your express written permission. Our sneak peeks posted on the blog are there only after a client has given permission and signed a model release for us to be able to use them. We greatly encourage clients to let us pick three to five images for a sneak peek to give them a taste of how the session went, but we also completely respect every client’s privacy.

Online proofing galleries are posted in a secure web gallery via a private link. They are removed as soon as your order is complete.

Can I purchase unedited photographs? How about if I just wanted them on a CD?

Noire Belle Boudoir is as much about posing as it is about the digital editing of the photographs. Each image receives special attention for exposure, contrast, and color. These together create a uniform style which we are known for and strive to upkeep. We do not sell unedited images. We do offer digital files for purchase of your images with several options.
